Day 1 Arrive Entebbe, Uganda
Arrive in Entebbe and transfer to Hotel No. 5, a stylish boutique retreat set in tropical gardens near Lake Victoria. Unwind after the journey with time by the pool, a spa treatment, or dinner featuring fresh, locally inspired cuisine.

Day 2 Entebe / Murchison Falls National Park
Depart Entebbe and drive north towards Murchison Falls National Park (approx. 6 hours), passing through rural countryside and small trading towns along the way. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot, the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be seen in the wild as part of an ongoing conservation breeding program. Continue to Kabalega Diner for lunch before entering Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, visit the dramatic Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow 7-metre gorge and plunges 43 metres in a powerful cascade — one of the most striking river formations in Africa.

Day 3 Murchison Falls National Park
Begin the day with an early game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park, an expansive savannah landscape home to lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, Uganda kob, and a variety of other antelope species. Return to the lodge for a relaxed break before heading out on an afternoon boat cruise along the Victoria Nile. This classic river safari offers exceptional wildlife viewing along the banks, with hippos wallowing in the water, Nile crocodiles basking on the shores, and prolific birdlife throughout the river system. The cruise continues upstream toward the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile thunders through a narrow gorge in one of Africa’s most powerful natural displays, where you can enjoy a sundowner as the light softens over the river.

Day 4 Murchison Falls National Park / Kibale Forest
Transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled flight south toward western Uganda, landing near Kibale region. Road transfer to Primate Lodge Kibale, located within one of Africa’s richest rainforest ecosystems. Kibale Forest National Park is home to 13 primate species, including one of the highest densities of chimpanzees in East Africa, with an estimated 1,500+ individuals. Afternoon at leisure in dense forest surroundings.

Day 5 Kibale Forest
Early morning chimpanzee tracking experience. Kibale offers one of the highest success rates for sightings in Africa, often above 90%, with encounters lasting up to one hour by regulation once the group is located. Afternoon visit to the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a community-managed reserve known for its biodiversity, including monkeys, otters, and over 200 bird species. The walk provides a different perspective of the ecosystem, moving from forest interior to wetland fringe.

Day 6 Kibale Forest / Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Full-day scenic drive south to Bwindi, passing through tea plantations, rolling highlands, and volcanic landscapes of southwestern Uganda. Arrive at Bwindi Lodge, positioned on the edge of one of Africa’s oldest rainforests. Bwindi is home to roughly 50% of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, with just over 1,000 individuals globally, making this one of the most important conservation areas on the continent.

Day 7 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Early morning briefing followed by gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Trek durations vary from 2 to 6 hours each way, depending on gorilla family location and terrain. Time with a habituated gorilla family is strictly limited to one hour, offering close observation of social behavior, including feeding, grooming, and interaction between dominant silverbacks and family groups. Afternoon at leisure in the forest surroundings.

Day 8 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest / Depart
Transfer to the nearby airstrip for a flight back to Entebbe, offering aerial views of Uganda’s diverse landscapes. Connect with onward international departure.
