The satisfying sound of cocktail shakers. The glint of Baccarat crystal. Join us for exquisite drinks in this bijou hideaway, deep in The Connaught’s heart.
Designed by Guy Oliver, this intimate room feels like a warm embrace – perfect for two or a party of 20. By day, natural light pours in from above, then it’s cosy candlelight at dusk.
The Connaught Grill, once one of London's most celebrated restaurants, has returned to The Connaught giving a respectful nod to its distinguished heritage. Design of the restaurant is led by interior architect John Heah with a strong focus on art and craftsmanship complete with extraordinary signature wall panels, tables and chairs made by Mira Nakashima bespoke for the space.
Located on the ground floor of the hotel, the intimate 46-seat Connaught Grill is under the direction of internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. This is his modern interpretation of a classic grill with an open kitchen complete with wood-burning grill and rotisserie offering the finest British sourced produce. The menu includes ingredients from langoustines and Dover sole to British game and Wagyu beef along with an exceptional wine list drawn from The Connaught wine cellar.
Hélène Darroze at the Connaught is a uniquely personal experience,
with no less than three Michelin stars. From the hand, heart and heritage of Hélène and her family of suppliers, exclusive, hand-selected ingredients are chosen by you, nurtured by Hélène, and turned into an enchanting dining experience that reconnects you with the pleasures and joys of eating well.
Overlooking fashionable Mount Street in the heart of Mayfair, Jean-Georges at The Connaught offers all-hours, informal gourmet dining in a relaxed, contemporary neighborhood setting. The eclectic, imaginative menus are inspired both by Jean-Georges’ experiences of the Far East and his signature use of South-east Asian flavors, whilst also featuring his distinctive take on British and Connaught classics. Illustrating the way The Connaught balances its distinguished heritage with a passion for the new, the restaurant has been redesigned by contemporary interior architect John Heah. Wall-to-ceiling windows, accented with stained glass, create a light, vibrant mood that reflects the appealing colors served on the plates. Jean-Georges at The Connaught serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
The Red Room is nestled within The Connaught – a hideaway that guests will only discover through a velvet-curtained doorway from the hotel’s Champagne Room. This cocooning space showcases a collection of creative works in red – that has been years in the making – by four female visionaries, from one of the most celebrated of our time to a young Vietnamese artist.
The striking interior is the work of Bryan O’Sullivan, whose soft-hued palette allows the art to sing. Follow the mosaic runway, hand-cut and laid by Italian craftsmen, to the dazzling pink onyx bar, or to admire the red-flecked marble fireplace, where ‘I Am Rouge’ by Louise Bourgeois presides. Bourgeois’ centrepiece is joined by works in crimson and scarlet from Jenny Holzer, Ti-a Thuy Nguyen and a single photographic piece by Trina McKillen. Flanking the fireplace are two striking, vast glass panels in vivid reds and blues by celebrated British artist Brian Clarke – the only male exhibited in the Red Room.
This one-of-a-kind edit forms the perfect canvas for a gallery of renowned wines by the glass. Rare vintages and first growths arrive by custom-crafted marble trolley – accompanied by a capsule collection of six cocktails, each inspired by the wine selection and developed in tune with the changing seasons. The menu of charcuterie, veal carpaccio and kale tempura, amongst other imaginative plates, complements the extensive wine list.
This Mayfair retreat is a bastion of Britishness that exhibits its eccentricities with pride. Once inside the Coburg Bar, experts will guide you through your tastes and desires towards something perfectly personal and bespoke, even the most exacting connoisseur will experience the seductive sense that discoveries are here to be made.
Enter the richly fascinating world of the Connaught Bar where our mixologists are forever seeking out new worlds. Intensely alive to the creative possibilities of their art, they are explorers, magpies and alchemists – traveling, searching, experimenting and bringing it all back from around the globe to this pulsating corner of London.
Tucked away in the heart of the hotel, those in the know will discover The Connaught Cigar Merchants – home to one of the finest cigar collections in the capital. From mysterious marques, wrapped in intrigue, to the definitive Cuban cigars rolled for Fidel Castro himself, this meticulously appointed space pays homage to the rare and the refined.
Under an intricately carved Pippy Oak ceiling, the creativity of acclaimed interior designer Bryan O’Sullivan unfolds. Step up to the one-of-a-kind altar to witness two centuries of craft take shape, under the careful stewardship of Head of Cigars, Adam Lajca – one of only 33 Masters of Havana Cigars in the world. Whether helping to build your personal collection or sourcing bespoke requests for special occasions, Adam and his team offer unique insight into the hotel’s humidor.
Cigars are paired with hand-picked spirits, from the vintage Karuizawa 1972 to the specially created Connaught Scotch – a limited-release whisky that celebrates the opening of The Connaught Cigar Merchants. Utterly private and discreet-by-design, this is a timeless place in which to sit back, unwind and draw it all in.
